Costa Rica 6/18/13-6/25/13

I've never been big on celebrating birthdays but that feeling isn't shared by those around me. So this year, when I turned 30, I knew I was going to have to go out of my way to avoid celebrations. So, with the help of a travel agent, my girlfriend and I spent a week in Costa Rica. We spent 3 days literally in the rain forest at the Arenal Nayara and 4 days at an all-inclusive called the Riu Guanacaste Palace on the beach. While the Palace is less than a year old and a 5-star hotel, since getting home, I've learned that the Nayara was named the #4 hotel in the world - an award it truly deserves.

So I'm not really sure what I'm going to write about. I know I talked about this being a window into my brain - and that remains true - but that doesn't mean I know what's going to pop up next. Hopefully it's interesting and people feel the desire to interact with my posts. If not, at least I'll enjoy writing again.
